A single-room heat pump and a ducted system serve different needs. Tell us which rooms you want to heat, when they are occupied, the property layout and what heating is already installed. Room size, insulation, glazing and airflow all matter when assessing capacity; choosing a unit by floor area alone can miss important site conditions.

For single-room systems we consider indoor and outdoor unit locations, airflow, condensate drainage, electrical supply and access. Ducted options also need suitable space for ducts and equipment, return-air arrangements and a discussion about zones and controls. We assess the property before confirming a system or quote, rather than promising every home will suit ducted heating.

For gas heating, share the appliance type, fuel supply, age if known and any fault symptoms. Servicing, repair or replacement depends on the appliance condition, parts, ventilation and installation requirements. Gas work is carried out by appropriately authorised gas tradespeople; electrical work is carried out by appropriately authorised electrical tradespeople.

Electric heating can be considered for individual spaces or as part of a broader heating plan. Tell us how long the space is used and whether existing heating struggles to maintain comfort. We discuss suitability, controls and the electrical supply required. We do not promise a particular running cost or energy saving without a property-specific basis.

Whole-home heating may include hydronic radiators or underfloor systems with a gas boiler or heat-pump heat source. An existing system and a new installation need different assessments. Tell us the current heat source, which areas are served and whether the project is maintenance, replacement or a wider renovation.

Suitability, capacity, distribution pipework, floor construction, controls and site access must be assessed alongside the available specialist trade scope. Not every system is suitable for every property. We confirm what can be provided and what the proposed work includes before quoting; no central heating configuration is promised without assessment.

If a system is not heating well, makes a new noise, leaks or shows a fault code, note the symptoms and model information without opening covers. Tell us when it last worked normally and whether the issue affects every room or only one area. Stop using equipment that appears unsafe. Do not attempt gas, refrigerant or electrical repairs yourself.

We discuss an assessment and the appropriate servicing or repair scope. Age, condition, compatibility and available parts affect whether repair or replacement is practical. A replacement proposal should explain the system, installation requirements and what is excluded. Share access constraints and any existing service records when arranging the visit.
